The event is open to all Filipino producers who may submit more than finished film and entry.
Film entries are eligible based on the following criteria:
Ten (10) to twelve (12) films will be selected for the PPP by the Selection Committee. Each film chosen to participate in Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino will receive a Certificate of Participation and will have nationwide guaranteed screening for three (3) days up to one full week in a minimum of sixty (60) screens. Extension of screening beyond the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino will be at the discretion of the theaters involved.
The assignment of theaters locations for the ten (10) to twelve (12) films chosen will be at the discretion of the Film Development Council of the Philippines and the theaters involved.
On the 5th day of screening on August 20, the top three films will be given the Audience Choice Awards based on audience votes from the PistApp: Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino App.
A Critic’s Choice will be unanimously chosen by the Selection Committee based on the artistic merits of the film, and will also be announced on August 20.
The films to be submitted for selection must reach the FDCP office by the following dates with the corresponding entry fees:

Entry payments may be through cash or via manager’s check made to the Film Development Council of the Philippines.

Submission to Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino constitutes agreement to all rules, regulations and conditions contained in this document and certifies that all film and music rights and production clearances have been obtained (in accordance with any and all existing applicable laws). By submitting, the filmmaker agrees not to withdraw the film from the event after it has been selected.

The Premier Night will be a red-carpet event to open Pista ng Pelikulang
Pilipino. Featuring the restored version of Eduardo de Castro’s Zamboanga

celebration showcasing the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino Finalists and the 100
years of Philippine Cinema.
